The club with the assistance of Big Al's Clubhouse at Mt Druitt will be holding a Benefit Night for the family of Elvis Barry Pinkerton on Saturday 13th November, which would have been his 62nd Birthday, all money raised at this night will be given to Elvis' family. The night will feature a number of Elvis Tribute artists who are donating there time for this event as well as a BBQ dinner which will be provided by Big Al's and the Fan Club. I have been an Elvis fan since I was 7. A few years ago a friend convinced me to get dressed up and sing at another friend's 40th. It has now become not just a hobby but a passion. I do a lot of charity work as well as sing at various functions around Sydney, including weddings, birthdays, work and social functions.
In 2006 I headed up to Parkes and won the sound a like competition. It was a great experience. I'll be there again in 2010, so if you're a fan and in Parkes this January, stop by the club stall and say hello. I'll also be doing a dinner show at the Parkview Motor Inn on the Saturday night as a tribute to the greatest entertainer the world has ever known.
